The Hotel was an excellent choice with very good amenities, but we thought a little overpriced. The location was excellent within a very good area for the beaches, restaurants and trips into Dubrovnik old town. We had a car but this was not needed for Dubrovnik old town, where there is no parking. The local bus service which stops right outside the hotel and drops you at the main gate to the old city is excellent. Buy your return tickets at the hotel they are cheaper. The local beaches are all pebble and stone but very clean and picturesque. We went to Mosta which was an interesting trip and the local resort of Cavat which we were very impressed with.
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.... The staff are very nice and our room was upgraded to a suite on arrival which was a real nice touch. Great location for getting to the old town as the the number 4 bus pulls up directly outside the hotel entrance. Great views of the sea. Would definitely stay here again.
Very clean, comfortable and the leisure centre/food was excellent
Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, very nice area close to walks and beaches
It is a very nice hotel
We had to pay for using internet at the lobby. We couldn´t use the sauna, even when it was offered. When we went to the swiming pool, there wasn´t anybody to give us towels
very clean, good location, excellent breakfast, bus stopped outside the hotel for the centre near the beach and the shops and bars could not fault the hotel for the price we paid.
I like that Uvala has Wellnes &Spa center and also located neraly to the beach and price is reasonable but could be less.Rooms are very comfortable
THe furniture which are rooms equipped are older and floor also, the Dusche is old enough and need to be replaced.
It was close to the bus stop which made it convenient to get around. It was up the street from Lapad beach which gave you an easy beach break. (Especially good for children) Buffet breakfast ;typical fare.
The one thing that ruined my stay at this hotel was the horrible smell that assaulted us every time we entered our room. It smelled of sewage. It was not present the first two nights of our stay, but after that I could hardly stay in the room. When I complained to the front desk they had been told by other guests of this problem which only seems to happen on the 4th floor.Ironically, the 4th floor is the floor with a terrace and a view of the Adriatic .The last night of our stay ,the smell woke me up and I had to open up the sliding glass doors in hope of some fresh air. Had I not been at the end of our vacation and a bit road weary, I would have insisted on a room change or a hotel change! I cannot comment on the spa facilities or their restaurant (for dinner) since I did not utilize them.
The Hotel staff were superb, nothing was too much trouble from buses to assisting with trips etc. The room had a lovely view of the bay and the sunsets were spectacular from the balcony. Local bus into the city was 20 metres away and ran every 15-20 minutes, journey 15-20 minutes and cost was very reasonable. The road outside was not an issue, the road is a dead end and the traffic fairly light. The walk to the beach ( stoney) was about 5 minutes. The bay has a lot of local restaurants and small shops. Water sports on hand with jet ski, swimming and sailing. Hotel breakfast was good with lots of fresh fruit and also cooked if required. Hotel has a spa and two pools. We will definitely go back to the Hotel.
Nothing to dislike more a comment, tea and coffee facility would have been nice to have in the room.
It was a modern hotel,we stayed in one of the bigger rooms so def worth paying little extra for the sea view.v clean and staff were nice.bus into the old town stopped right outside the door every 15 mins and the beach was a 2min walk away.
The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were close to the beach and to the local shops and restaurants. The resort was not overly noisey or busy which suited us just fine.
The air conditioning in teh room didnt work which meant we needed to keep the doors open and as there was some building work going on across the bay we were woken early by the foundation drill.
Good location - overlooking the bay. Pleasant walk to the local restaurants and shops. We walked into Dubrovnik each day and this took 40 minutes. Dubrovnik is beautiful with loads to see. The bus stops outside the hotel and takes 10 minues to get into town. Lovely breakfast with lots of choice, pleasant surroundings, good clean room which was cleaned each day by a very friendly lady. Nothing to complain about. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to return or recommend to others.
The outdoor pool was very cold, though I did once pluck up the courage to have a swim. The indoor pool was much warmer than the outside one, but that too was quite chilly. Neither of the pools were at all crowded even though the sun was shining - perhaps no-one was brave enough to get in! I had been aware of this however from previous reviews.
Lovely hotel - staff were so friendly - It felt almost like a family business, The maids came into rooms every day and replenished anything that had been used, i.e. shampoo. THE WHOLE PLACE, AS IN CROATIA ITSELF WAS ABSOLUTELY SPOTLESS. The situation is perfect as overlooks the bay but on the other side of any noise but within a 2 min walk if this is what is wanted. Lovely restaurants overlooking the beautiful bay, with lots of attractions, hiring of speed boats, ski jets etc Just fantastic
No tea/coffee facilities and no lounge area. There is a bar but it is just in the restaurant with tables and chairs (no nice settees etc). If you didnt want to sit in the restaurant bar the only other choice, if in the hotel, was to go up to your room. The Spa/wellbeing centre was good but could be a lot better. Not really good value for money and didnt feel very accommodating.
The staff were really really nice and the hotel was so clean. The reception staff were so efficient. Room views were gorgeous and the spa facilities were lovely. Would really recommend this hotel it really added to our enjoyed of our trip.
The indoor pool was freezing.. and the outdoor pool was being cleaned. It was the start of the season so thats fair enough and a clean pool is better than a dirty one. The jacuzzi made up for it. :)
Well located on Lapad Peninsula (cheaper side) and only a 10 min bus ride from the Old Town. Views from the "Sea View and Balcony" rooms were stunning. Sea was crystal clear, but beache area in the region of the hotel was a little scruffy with a shingle beach. Having said that we spent a very pleasant few hours swimming in the sea and lounging on the beach, in fab weather. Breakfast was good and staff were very friendly. Overall a good experience that I would happily recommend.
There was a charge for using the Spa, including the pool, which was a little disappointing.
